About the area

A short trip from Bella Vista's business park

Bella Vista is a modern, affluent suburb of Sydney's Hills District, part of The Hills Shire, about 33km north-west of the Sydney CBD. With a population of around 8,400, it's one of the fastest-growing pockets of north-western Sydney.

The suburb shares Norwest Business Park with neighbouring Norwest, one of Australia's largest business parks at over 400 companies and 25,000+ employees. Corporate headquarters based there include Woolworths and ResMed, alongside a regional office for the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Bella Vista's other landmark is Bella Vista Farm on Elizabeth Macarthur Drive, a heritage-listed site where Elizabeth Macarthur bred some of Australia's first Merino sheep in the early 1800s, before the Pearce family later built the homestead and gave the area its name. From here it's about 3km / 6 min drive (est.) to Crestwood High School's oval in Baulkham Hills, where Football Collective trains.

  • Norwest Business Park (400+ companies, 25,000+ employees)
  • Bella Vista Farm, Elizabeth Macarthur Drive (heritage-listed, open daily)
  • Bella Vista Metro Station (Sydney Metro Northwest line, opened 2019)
  • Part of The Hills Shire local government area
